How to make the best Marble Cake!

Rich and delicious, this Marble cake will definitely steal your heart! It’s a cake with streaked vanilla & chocolate batter. Very easy and quick 😁

I’ve been a marble cake fan since my school days! I still remember how I used to lookout for them whenever my parents used to take me to Kookie Jar, Cakes or any other bakery. Sweet memories, I must say! And now I can bake them anytime I want to! Hah! How awesome is that 😎

Anyways, I hope you’ll enjoy baking this recipe as much as I do.

Ingredients-

Unsalted butter- 230 grams

Whole Eggs- 130 grams

Sugar- 300 grams

Flour- 340 grams

Baking powder- 14 grams

Salt- 6 grams

Egg yolk- 100 grams

Milk- 180 grams

Vanilla essence- 10 grams

Procedure-  Soften the butter with the hand mixer or a whisk. Add in all flour, baking powder and salt slowly. Incorporate milk and vanilla essence slowly. Whip the eggs and yolks with sugar separately until light and fluffy. Mix everything together finally. If you feel your batter is too dry, just add a little milk and beat nicely until smooth.

Add few spoons of Zany’s Belgian chocolatesauce or any other chocolate (melted) in half the batter and mix it properly. Grease your mould with butter paper or simply use butter and dust flour. Spoon alternate blobs of chocolate and vanilla batter into the mould and when it is full, drag the handle of a spoon or toothpick through it once.

Preheat the oven for 10 mins at 180 degree C before baking. Till then keep the batter in the fridge. Bake at 180 degree C for 25-30 mins. Make sure to check your cake and use a toothpick instead of a knife or anything else. If the toothpick comes out clean, you’re cake is ready! And if not keep it for some more time.

You can get your hands on Zany’s Belgian Chocolate from Foodstree They have Banoffee and Apple caramel sauce too!

Some tips-

If you think your batter is smelling too eggy, add few drops of vanilla essence.

• You can use this recipe for making vanilla cupcakes or simply vanilla, with streaks of chocolate!

• Use eggs at room temperature and also the butter.

• Don’t over mix the chocolate and vanilla batter otherwise you won’t get that marble effect.

• Using a hand mixer would give you the best result as it mixes everything quiet well and make sure you taste your batter always! Add in more sugar or chocolate if it’s not according to your taste.

• When you’re adding eggs into the batter, please be careful and mix fast so that the batter doesn’t split.

Fill the mould 2/3 to 3/4 only. Avoid adding too much batter or the cake will overflow from the mould as they bake and cause a mess.
